To My Clients:
I understand that you need trust, direct access, and a fair price. I grew up with a blue-collar background where we take pride in delivering just that.
I am from a really small town where trust and reputation are important. I am a man of faith who believes in doing the right thing for people who depend on me, even when "nobody is looking."
Even my small fee is a lot of money and you deserve to be treated with respect.
I run my law firm like my Dad, uncle, and Grandfather (my Papaw) ran their small businesses in Jamestown, Ohio -- "an honest day of work for an honest day of pay." They drilled that philosophy in me growing up.
In a small town, you must provide good service, or everyone will know that you don't. I bring this small town business style to downtown Columbus. You will talk directly to me and I will return calls as soon as possible. I will always keep you updated on the status of your case, charge a fair rate, and let you know what you are being billed for.
Also, I keep my prices low because I don't make my clients pay for me to maintain extensive staff or an expensive office.
Lawyer as a "Counselor"
Lawyers are supposed to be counselors but too many neglect that role. Many simply consider themselves for-profit service providers.
Call me anytime, day or night, weekdays or weekends. If you do, I'll either answer or call you right back. I'll talk to you for as long as it takes to explain your options for managing your debt. At your request, I will be glad go the extra mile and offer a non-judgmental consulatation on getting your career and life squared away, so that you don't end up in bankruptcy ever again. When making important decisions, I believe that it is essential to get your heart and mind in the right place and I do my best to help with that.
Sincerely,
Joshua J. Brown, Esq.
